This instrument is designed for measuring the voltage of 12V automotive batteries including sealed acid and maintenance free type batteries.

Charger Check -Connect the colour coded crocodile clips to the battery terminals (red to positive and black to negative), when the red light against "charger check" is lit, charging is complete.

Alternator Check -To check the charring circuit of a 12V battery vehicle, connect the colour coded crocodile clips to the battery terminals (red to positive and black to negative), Accelerate your engine to 2000rpm, if the red light against the "alternator check" is lit, the charging circuit is ok.

Battery Check -An accurate indication of a batteries state, of charge will only be possible if the battery has not been charged or discharged for at least 30 minutes. To check the state of charge of a 12V battery, connect the colour coded crocodile clips to the battery terminals (red to positive and black to negative). If none of the red lights are lit, check the connection of the clips to the battery. The red lights will indicate the approximate percentage charge in the battery.

Cranking Check -To check the cranking ability of a vehicles starter motor, connect the colour coded crocodile clips to the battery terminals (red to positive and black to negative), The red light against "cranking check" should remain lit when starter motor operates.

This is a small lightweight design with crocodile clip terminations to make easy connection with the battery. It has a simple LED display clearly labelled for easy use and comes supplied with a full instructions manual which explains each of the various available tests.
