In 1924 Sidney Rustin opened his first shop in London's Shoreditch district where he sold wood finishing products to local residents and trades people.
Sidney's father was a cabinetmaker and his mother funded the business venture with ?50. During the second world war the first night raid destroyed the original 1932 factory and the business moved to its present location in Cricklewood, London.
Rustins also exports to more than 20 countries.
Rustins formulated its Strypit paint remover in 1947 and demand remains high. RUSTINS was the first manufacturer of Danish Oil which remains a famous and popular product.

Description
Rustins Professional Wood Filler is a two-part filler that provides a strong long lasting repair for all interior and exterior wood work.
It hardens within 30 minutes at ambient temperature and produces a tack free surface. It is easy to sand and readily accepts Rustins Wood Dyes as well as Rustins paints and varnishes.
Once fully hardened, it can be sanded, drilled, machined and planed and is particularly useful for carrying out repairs to the edges on joinery where high strength is needed. It is also suitable for marine applications.
Available in 250g, 500g and 1kg in White or Natural.
How to Use, Specification and Saftey Information
Product: Professional Wood Filler
Type: Two part professional wood provides a strong long lasting repair for all interior and exterior wood work. Come in Natural and White colour.
Intended Use: For all kind of interior and exterior timber.
Special Features: The filler hardens within 30 mins at ambient temperature. It can be sanded, drilled, machined and planed and is particularly useful for carrying our repairs to the edges on joinery where high strength is need. It is also suitable for marine applications.
Preparation: The surface must be clean, dry and free from all traces of Oil, grease and dust. Provide a key to smooth the surface by lightly sanding with a medium grade of sand paper.
Application: Mix the filler with hardener on a non porous surface using an amount of filler the size of golf ball to hardener the size of a pea as the ratio. Mix thoroughly until an even colour is obtained. Do not prepare more than required as any excess will be unusable after 6-8mins. Apply using the applicator provided or use a putty knife Apply using the applicator provided. Apply sufficient filler so that it is proud of the surface to allow a continuous smooth surface to be obtained on standing.
Drying Time: 30 mins to 1 hr depending on temperature and humidity.
Application Temp: Ideally 15-25 degree C, do not apply below 10 degree C or if rain is expected.
Compatibility: Once fully cured and after sanding back, most paints can be applied
Shelf-life/Storage: 18 months if stored under the recommended conditions. Store in cool and dry place under 25 deg C.
Hazards: Harmful by inhalation. Contains Styrene. Do not brethe vapours. Wear suitable protective coatings, gloves and eye/face protection.
Clean-Up: All tools must be cleaned immediately after use with Rustins Cellulose thinners before product set hard.
