A bit of background of us and what we have done. Having done over 1,100 rear diffs, 700 N47 timing chains, 300 N47 turbochargers, 1,000's of services and numerous electrical faults makes us very qualified to service or repair your BMW.

Cause of failure and use of this part.

These are Reluctor Rings for the driveshafts for the rear of several BMW models. The fault you will see is the traction control comes on and off and the car slowing down and taking off again. If you turn of the DTC (digital traction control) the car will drive very much as normal but you wont have ABS braking.

These go faulty when some rust gets between the Reluctor ring and the driveshaft causing it to expand giving a false reading, and will give a ABS, traction control fault.

Rather than replace the driveshafts simply replace the rings and the problem will be resolved. The drive shaft cost approx. £200.00 each so the saving is quite immense.
