This unit is designed to (non destructively) measure the thickness of non-magnetic coatings including paint, enamel, plastic, epoxy, etc. on steel or iron.
Instructions
If the coating thickness is less than 1mm, the green LED will light up.
If the coating is thickness is between approximately 1mm and 1.8mm, the yellow LED will light up.
If the coating thickness is more than 1.8mm, the red light will light up.
Great for use on second hand vehicles and commercial vehicles which may have had an accident or paint repair that is not so abvious to the nacked eye. A must have device when buying a used vehicle.
