This insect killer has a radius of 10 m1/2? and uses ultra-violet light to lure light sensitive flies and flying insects into an electronically charged high voltage 230VDC metal grid, destroying them quickly without the need for chemicals, fumes, smells or sprays.
The dead insects are collected inside the screw-in removable tray at the base of the unit. Ideal for use in the home, shops, restaurants or factories etc.
How an insect zapper works?
As the insect flies toward the light, it penetrates the space between the wire-mesh grids and completes the electric circuit. High-v1/2?oltage electric current flows through the insect and vaporizes it. You often hear a loud "ZZZZ" sound when this happens. Bug zappers can lure and kill more than 10,000 insects in a single evening. By design, insect zappers do not discriminate between types of insects, but because of their luring strategy, they tend kill those insects that are most attracted to ultraviolet light.
