This four-band portable radio from Omega has built-in rechargeable batteries, so you can listen without having to buy costly batteries which you throw away after use.

As well as the on-board recharging unit, you can also power the radio using the mains lead supplied, or by inserting 2x R20 batteries (also known as D, LR20, R20, MN1300, UM1 and HP2) (not supplied).

The Omega 4-band radio is ideal for listening to a host of stations including BBC World Service, BBC Radio 4 split FM/LW transmissions, and for more distant stations from around Europe.

Easy to use

On the front of the radio there is a large tuning dial and frequency display, plus a power volume knob. A small button selects whether you wish to use the rechargeable batteries as the power source.

On the rear of the radio is the frequency band switch, socket for the mains lead and battery compartment with removable cover.

The radio has a folding carry handle and telescopic aerial.

Please note that the radio does not charge batteries that are inserted into its battery compartment - it only recharges the built-in batteries.
